Ski Sunday (BBC2, 5.05pm) Graham Bell and Ed Leigh present coverage from the men’s downhill in Kitzbuehel, Austria on the infamous Hahnenkamm mountain. Swiss sensation Didier Defago was victorious last year on the Streif, so the Austrian contingent, led by 2006 winner Michael Walchhofer, have an added incentive to strike back this time. Meanwhile, Ed samples life on the World Cup tour with British snowboarder Zoe Gillings, as she gears up for the Winter Olympics in Vancouver at the end of the season.
Dancing on Ice (ITV1, 6.25pm) After the departure of Bobby Davro, last week, the remaining 12 contestants take to the ice together for the first time, having undertaken their toughest training yet from Olympic legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean. The skating so far has been top notch, with some impressive first performances from soap stars, Daniella Westbrook, Hayley Tamaddon and Danny Young. Even the oldest contestant Dr Hilary, cuts an impressive figure in his lycra and sequins, and his ice skating skills aren’t bad either.
Lark Rise to Candleford (BBC1, 8pm) Alf has much to be happy about, he’s finally paid ‘a man’s wage’ and it means that he can move his family back into the family cottage
